Al-Arafah Islami Bank has organised a training workshop on investment classification and provisioning in line with the Master Circular of Bangladesh Bank.
The session, held at the bank’s training institute, brought together 52 investment officers from different branches. It was presided over by Principal Md. Abdur Rahim Duari, with senior executives including Deputy Managing Directors Md. Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan and S. M. Abu Jafar attending as special guests.
Speakers stressed the importance of accurate classification reporting and timely investment collection to safeguard the interests of depositors, shareholders, and the bank. They also called for increasing quality SME investments to ensure sustainable growth.
Participants were urged to properly learn and apply the new reporting system in their day-to-day operations.
