AB Bank PLC, in partnership with the SME and Special Programs Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank under the SICIP project, has launched a month-long Entrepreneur Development Program in Barisal. The programme aims to equip local entrepreneurs with essential business knowledge and skills, helping them access formal banking services and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Madhusudan Banik, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank’s Barisal Office, as the chief guest. Special guests included Md Ayub Ali, Joint Director and Deputy Program Director (SICIP), and Molla Al Mahmud, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank’s Barisal Office. The event was presided over by Iftekhar Enam Awal, Head of SME Banking at AB Bank PLC.
Senior officials from AB Bank also participated, along with 25 young entrepreneurs from the Barisal region, marking the beginning of the intensive month-long training programme.
