Bangladesh and China have taken a step toward closer cooperation in vocational education and skills development as the Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry signed a memorandum of understanding with two Chinese firms to build long-term institutional partnerships.
The agreement, signed on January 3 at the BCCCI office, brings together Beijing Ark Galaxy Technology Co., Ltd. and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation to strengthen collaboration in technical training, skills development and human resource capacity building.
Under the MoU, affiliated vocational institutions in Bangladesh will work with leading counterparts in China on joint training programmes, institutional exchanges, technology sharing and capacity-building initiatives. The partnership aims to support industrial growth and modernise the workforce in both countries.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from all three organisations, including BCCCI leadership and executives from the two Chinese companies operating in Bangladesh.
BCCCI said the agreement marks an important milestone in expanding institutional cooperation with China and fostering sustainable partnerships focused on inclusive development and improving industrial competitiveness.
