BRAC Bank, in collaboration with Bangladesh Open-Source Network (BdOSN), has organised a training programme in Narayanganj, aimed at strengthening the capacity of women entrepreneurs across Bangladesh.
The programme, held at Shilpakala Academy, Narayanganj, from August 25–27, 2025, brought together 35 promising women entrepreneurs for intensive training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. The initiative was designed to equip participants with knowledge and skills to expand their businesses, gain market access, and inspire many women to pursue entrepreneurial dream.
The three-day training programme was organized as part of ‘Amrai TARA’, the bank’s signature entrepreneur grooming programme, supported by the Gates Foundation.
The capacity building initiative focuses on building knowledge, enhancing business acumen, and ensuring the long-term empowerment of women entrepreneurs through access to finance, mentorship, and capacity development.
At the session, BdOSN Team also educated the women business owners with the digital knowhow they need to succeed in emerging business frontiers such as e-commerce, f-commerce and digital channels.
Distinguished guests at the programme included Munir Hasan, President, Bangladesh Open-Source Network (BdOSN); Alomgir Hossain, Head of Small Business (Central) and Distributor Finance, and Khadija Mariam, Head of Women Entrepreneur Cell from BRAC Bank.
Speaking at the event, the guests emphasised the importance of inclusive entrepreneurship in Bangladesh’s economic growth and commended BRAC Bank’s role in championing women-led enterprises.
