Dhaka, July 28, 2025 — The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rebounded in early trading on Monday, recovering from the previous session’s losses as investor sentiment improved across key sectors.
By 11:54 AM, the DSEX, the benchmark index of the country’s premier bourse, rose by 24.34 points or 0.45% to 5,379.17.
The Shariah-compliant DSES index advanced 0.40% to 1,169.21, while the DS30, which tracks blue-chip stocks, gained 1.06% to reach 2,079.98.
Turnover stood at Tk 378.74 crore, reflecting a moderate level of investor participation.
Market breadth remained positive, with 217 stocks advancing, 111 declining, and 65 remaining unchanged.
Peoples Insurance Company emerged as the top gainer, surging 9%, while Pioneer Insurance Company led the losers, falling by 4%.
Analysts noted that renewed buying interest, particularly in selective insurance and financial stocks, contributed to the early rebound.
