“We’re proud to be recognised once again for the strength of our large corporate banking business and our leadership in sustainable finance,” he said.

“This reflects the depth of our capabilities, the commitment of our teams, and our focus on helping clients grow, transform and create long-term value while building a more sustainable future for Bangladesh.”

At the global level, Georges Elhedery was named Global Banker of the Year, while HSBC also secured several regional honours, including Best Bank in Asia.

The bank said the awards recognise the operational excellence achieved under its simplified and more agile organisational structure. In Bangladesh, HSBC said it has continued to strengthen customer relationships while delivering faster and more efficient services.
