The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will suspend all online VAT services on February 25 from 1:30 pm to 8:00 pm for technical maintenance. The downtime will facilitate the migration of the Next Generation Firewall, part of efforts to strengthen the system’s security.

During this period, users will be unable to access any eVAT services, including registration, return submission, payments, or record-keeping. Services will resume after 8:00 pm once the upgrade is complete.

The NBR has advised VAT-registered businesses to complete necessary online activities outside the scheduled downtime to avoid disruption. The eVAT system, designed to automate VAT processes, aims to simplify compliance, reduce human intervention, and improve transparency in Bangladesh’s tax administration.
