ONE Bank PLC convened its 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday at a hotel in Gulshan, Dhaka, with a large number of shareholders attending both physically and through a digital platform, according to a press release.
The meeting was presided over by Mr. A. S. M. Shahidullah Khan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank.
At the outset, the AGM offered prayers and observed a one-minute silence in memory of Mr. Sayeed H. Chowdhury, the former Chairman and Director of ONE Bank, who passed away recently.

Among others, the AGM was attended by:
- Mr. Zahur Ullah, Director and Chairman of the Executive Committee
- Ms. Ananya Das Gupta and Mr. Shawket Jaman, Directors
- Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury (Retd), Independent Director and former Chief of the Navy
- Mr. Md. Azizul Haque, Independent Director
From the management side, Mr. Shabbir Ahmed, Managing Director (Current Charge); Mr. Abu Zafore Md. Saleh, AMD & Head of Islami Banking; Mr. John Sarkar, DMD and Company Secretary; and Mr. Md. Anwarul Islam, DMD, Chief Legal Officer & Head of Recovery Division, were present along with other senior officials.
The release noted that the AGM was attended by a significant number of shareholders, reflecting continued engagement and confidence in the bank’s governance and operations.
