Rupali Bank Pays Tribute to Martyrs on Victory Day

State-owned lender honours 1971 Liberation War heroes at National Martyrs’ Memorial

Rupali Bank PLC paid homage to the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War on Victory Day by placing wreaths at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar on Tuesday.

The tribute was led by the bank’s Managing Director, Kazi Md Wahidul Islam, who offered floral wreaths in the morning to honour the supreme sacrifices made for Bangladesh’s independence. Deputy Managing Director Hasan Tanvir was also present on the occasion.

Earlier, the bank formally began its Victory Day observance by hoisting the national flag.

Senior officials, including General Managers Mohammad Shahjahan Chowdhury, Mohammad Safayet Hossain, Md Moinuddin Masud, Md Noman Mia, Abu Naser Md Masud, Tanvir Hasnain Moin, and Chief Information Technology Officer Md Ohidul Islam Sarkar, along with officers and employees from across the bank, attended the programme.

Through the observance, Rupali Bank reaffirmed its respect for the spirit of the Liberation War and its commitment to upholding the values of independence and national pride.
