Sonali Bank PLC has distributed Education Scholarship 2023 among 850 underprivileged and meritorious students at secondary and higher secondary levels under its CSR programme.
At a ceremony held on Tuesday at the bank’s head office in Dhaka, 60 students from the district received their awards. Chairman Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury handed over the scholarship money as chief guest.
Social Welfare Secretary Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf, Directors Mohammed Jahangir Alam, Md. Mofazzal Husain and Tariqul Islam Chowdhury attended as special guests, while MD & CEO Md. Shawkat Ali Khan presided over the event.
Deputy managing directors, senior officials, students’ guardians and other guests were also present. The remaining scholarships will be distributed through district-level programmes organised by the bank’s principal offices.
