JCI Dhaka North Unveils 2026 Leadership

New board takes charge as chapter celebrates 25 years of community impact

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka North has announced its new leadership for 2026 during its annual general assembly at Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka. The event also marked the chapter’s 25th anniversary.

Shafiuddin Ala Raju was elected President, taking over from outgoing President Sumaiya Haque in a ceremonial handover of the presidential chain. SM Mohiuddin Salim will serve as Executive Vice President, while Shaikh Ahmed Showmik and Rahat Bin Haque were elected Vice Presidents.

Other key appointments include Md Nur Nabi Mehedi as Secretary General, Zakia Ferdous Nondita as Treasurer, Mehrab Mansur as General Legal Counsel, and Rashad Reaz as Training Commissioner. The leadership team also features commissioners and committee chairs handling strategy, international affairs, sports, events, and JCI in Business initiatives.

The board of directors comprises Abdur Rahman Adeeb, Nayeem Hossain Majumdar, Rakibul Hasan, Shah Shafiur Jalal, and Abdur Rouf.

The assembly was attended by JCI Bangladesh President Arefeen Raafi Ahmed, Deputy National President Shaan Shahed, National Secretary General Sinan Arefeen, National Treasurer Masrur Mahmood Shuvo, former national presidents, past chapter presidents, industry professionals, and community leaders. The election was conducted by the committee chaired by Sahariar Hasan Jiisun.

“This new team is ready to build on our 25-year legacy and drive community impact through innovative projects,” said Shafiuddin Ala Raju.
